Career Pathways Initiative (CPI)


This federally funded program enables parents to receive assistance when they are trying to further their education or gain employability skills. 
Eligibility/requirements:

  • Be a resident of the state of Arkansas.
  • Be a parent of a child under the age of 21.
  • TANF-Have an open DHS case, TEA or be 250% below the poverty level. 

*Ex. A family of three has to make at or below $54,300 a year.

Assistance could be given via:

  • Textbooks & Supplies
  • Tuition
  • Test Fees: NCLEX, TEAS, CNA
  • Childcare
  • Gas

PT电子-CTC Technical Scholarship

Awarded to high school seniors that apply and meet the criteria established by the PT电子-CTC Technical Scholarship Committee. 

  • Approximately six (6) new scholarships are awarded each year.
  • This scholarship pays tuition only for PT电子-CTC technical classes within a student’s chosen program of study.

Woodman of the World Insurance Scholarship

The Woodman of the World Insurance scholarship is awarded to one PT电子-CTC student each academic year. 

  • The scholarship is for $300 each semester for textbooks.

American Legion – Post 111 Scholarship

Awarded to one (1) PT电子-CTC student each academic year. 

  • The scholarship is for $250 each semester.
  • As designated by the American Legion—Post 111, preference is given to military veterans.

Arkansas Rehabilitation Services (ARS) 

This is designed prepare Arkansans with disabilities to work and lead productive and independent lives. To achieve its mission, Arkansas Rehabilitation Services provides a variety of training and career preparation programs. Field Services include career and technical education and training, transition from school to work or post-secondary education, on-the-job training, and ancillary support services that clients may need for successful employment.

  • Interested persons should contact their local Arkansas Rehabilitation Services Office to determine if their disability will qualify them to receive financial assistance while attending college.

Arkansas Future Grant (ARFuture)

This is the newest of state grants, with the purpose to increase the education and skills of Arkansas’s workforce in an affordable manner. The grant applies to students enrolled in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), or regional high-demand areas of study. 

  • Covers tuition and fees for qualifying certificate and Associate degree programs at Arkansas’s public institutions for eligible students.
  • Available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • An applicant must:
    • Have either graduated from an Arkansas public school, private school, home school, or received a high school equivalency diploma approved by the Department of Career Education, or verify that he or she has resided within the state for the three (3) years immediately preceding application and has either graduated from an out-of-state high school, private school, home school, or received a high school equivalency diploma approved by another state;
    • Be enrolled part-time or full-time at an approved institution of higher education in a program of study that leads to an associate degree or a certification in a STEM or regional high demand field; and
    • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

A student may continue to be eligible until the student has:

  • Received an associate degree;
  • Received funding from the AR Future Grant for five (5) semesters;
  • Failed to maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as determined by their institution of higher education; or
  • Failed to complete mentoring or community service requirements.

Kathy Jordan Martin Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this award is to encourage PT电子 College of Technology Adult Education General Educational Development (GED) graduates to pursue post-secondary education and training goals that will lead to more productive and fulfilling lives.

  • An applicant must be a GED graduate of one of the PT电子 Adult Education Program Centers in Ashley County.
  • Applicants must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours at an accredited post-secondary institution and have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher.
  • If approved for an award, the applicant must enroll at least half-time (six credit hours) in credit-bearing courses at one of the three PT电子 campuses.
  • Applicants must be recommended by a PT电子 faculty or staff member.

An application form must be completed in ink or typed and submitted to a PT电子 College of Technology-Crossett (PT电子-CTC) administrator (Vice Chancellor, Assistant Vice Chancellor, Counselor, or Director of Student Services).
This scholarship is subject to the following terms:

  • The recipient of the scholarship must provide proof of enrollment at one of the PT电子 campuses for the semester in which the award is to be received.
  • If the recipient fails to enroll in PT电子 within one year from the date of award, the scholarship will be withdrawn.
  • The recipient may reapply for the scholarship in subsequent semesters/terms provided he/she maintains a 2.5 cumulative GPA, not to exceed a lifetime total of $1,000.

Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA)

This award brings together, in strategic coordination, the core programs of Federal investment in skill development:

  • Employment and training services for adults, dislocated workers, and youth and Wagner-Peyser employment services administered by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) through formula grants to states; and
  • Adult education and family literacy programs as well as State Vocational Rehabilitation Services programs that assist eligible individuals with disabilities in obtaining employment; both core programs are administered by the U.S. Department of Education.

Interested persons should contact their local Workforce Center to determine if they are eligible for WIOA training assistance. Those deemed eligible for WIOA may receive financial assistance to cover their educational costs for tuition, fees, textbooks, and/or supplies.

Arkansas Human Development Corporation (ADHC)

AHDC is a dynamic organization delivering critically important services across the state. To be eligible for assistance, you must have worked in agriculture in the last two years and meet income guidelines. 

  • Provides qualifying applicants with funding for tuition, books, supplies and also pays a small stipend of $2.50 per hour.
  • AHDC has the capability to co-enroll with other agencies so the student receives more services.
